Nudie pics

Well, this blog site will only let me add four pictures at a time, so I have made this a two part blog. I just couldn't cut down the pictures any more, I already didn't post about 15 others! Anyway, the monkey girl loves bathtime, so I thought I would get some pics of it so that everyone can partake in the joy. Now tell me this is a face that doesn't love a bath!

It's even better when you're in it!

I am supposed to be watching how many ounces she's drinking, since she's had a cold and apparently we are concerned about dehydration. I forgot to ask if I was supposed to be counting the bathwater that she drinks...

Guess who figured out that if she can stand up outside the tub, she probably can inside the tub as well!

Nudie pics cont.

So proud of herself! By the way, she peed while I was taking this picture! Oh, and once she got up, and I took the pic of course, we started the endless chant of "No, sit down please...no, sit down please...no, sit down please." By the time I would sit her back down she was half way up again.

She has the cutest little bum I've ever seen

After her bath (which we had to end when she would not sit down on her bum) I "tried" to lotion her...anyone tried to lotion a naked squirmy baby who can crawl away? It was easier to just have nakey play time.

At least she makes life interesting!

And the two shall become...four

Yes, we will soon be a family of four!!! We just found out about a week ago that we are preggers again, and we are pretty sure that the due date with be around the sixth of October. We are really excited, and we have started getting Cooper ready to be a big sister!

She is really excited, although she tends to chuck the baby when she's done playing with it, so we'll have to watch that I suppose! So anyways, that's the big news here for now!

At least she doesn't take herself too seriously

Nice butt crack action!

"Look, I have teeth!"

"Being naked is fun!"

"What, so I put it in myself...what?

Cooper's cooking tips

1. You must always cook holding at least one sock.

2. Turn your back and ignore the pot for a while. A watched pot never boils!

3. As long as you're ignoring the pot, you might as well completely forget about it and get distracted by the camera!

4. By the time you remember your cooking, it's probably done, so stick your hand in the pot and enjoy!

101 ways to keep baby entertained

Okay, maybe not 101, but we found ourselves stuck in airports for many hours yesterday, and besides the obvious (eating, making a bed on airport chairs for napping, playing with any other little one we could find, touching each painting as we walk down the hallway) we got a little bored and creative. Cooper was actually quite content to relax and play...

and read with Mommy...

but after a while Daddy got bored...

Cooper didn't mind it on her forhead, but it stuck better on Daddy's

But seriously, Cooper did great all day long. She melted down a little bit on the last flight, but who can blame her after about 14 hours of traveling and three flights! We are so impressed with what a great little traveler she is, and really, we're blessed with a great kid in general!

Santa Baby

Christmas this year has been a much needed time of doing nothing and spending quality time with family and friends. Cooper is enjoying her first time to the northwest, although we are constantly fighting the cold, trying to keep our little thin blooded babe warm, and as a constantly cold person myself, I sometimes maybe over bundle her when we leave the house, which means she passes out in her car seat pretty much any time we go anywhere. She loves Poppa and Gigi's kitty, Zeke, and he, along with Emmie and Avery, seem to be the motivation she needed to figure out this crawling thing. She is rolling and scooting and pushing and straining all over the place, she is into everything she can get her little hands on. She can pretty easily get onto her hands and knees, but from there she has a little trouble controlling her limbs and weight, and she usually ends up in pushup position until she throws her weight in a certain direction. She also has gotten to try out a walker, which just in two weeks she has figured out how to control and she now cruises all over and is able to get into even more stuff! She cruises by the coffee table and picks stuff up, goes into the kitchen and pulls the towels off the oven, and tries to get to anyone that is paying attention to her (which is of course, most of us most of the time ;) ). As far as her first Christmas goes, she was thrilled with her stocking, pulling all kinds of interesting stuff out of this big thing, but she really wasn't too excited about the rest of the opening. We thought she would love the wrapping paper, since she loves to crinkle and rip paper, but she didn't seem to want it when we wanted her to rip it! She also had to take a nap during some of present opening, but it didn't matter since she didn't care too much about it anyway. She got some new stuffed animals and a baby and a couple books, which she has loved, but the really exciting part for her has been to be around animals and other little ones. She adores her cousins and they are so sweet to her, it is really fun to watch them. Anyway, here are a couple more pics of her in her first Christmas hat. But be warned of nudity.
