Eating lunch can be very hard work

Cooper woke up early and quite wired this morning, and apparently all the wild playing had her completely wiped out by lunchtime. Notice she fell asleep in the middle of reaching for a chunk of food, and she was so soundly asleep that she never even woke up when I was taking pictures (or cleaning her up, or putting her into bed). She is such a funny little thing.

Why Moms have to have a sense of humor to not go crazy

Well, as many of you know, Cooper keeps us very busy with her creativity and love for life! That's a nice way of saying that she's always into something. I usually don't get pictures of her into stuff, since I am usually jumping in to control the damage as much as possible, but yesterday and today I have snuck up on her with the camera a couple times.

What, I wasn't touching the toilet paper.

And I definitely didn't leave that pile on the floor.

Look Mommy, I am putting away the shirt you just folded!

Don't worry, Mommy, I will pour myself some breakfast.

Summertime Fun

Okay, okay, I've heard from a couple of you numerous times about updating our blog (cough...Vimie and Arwen...you do know that this is to keep out of town friends and family updated...you already know what happens daily at the zoo) so here is our latest favorite passtime, we bought Cooper a humungous pool, and she throws pool parties. Climbing in and out of the pool, and then meticulously picking out each blade of grass she tracked in climbing in and out, keeps her occupied for hours, and gives Mom a chance to sit in the sun. Although, I think we probably looked slightly ridiculous today when we had our neighbors over and there were four adults and two kids crowded around this two foot puddle, all with towels and drinks, like we were gearing up for a day at the beach. Anyway, here are the latest:

Cooper's not quite sure what she thinks of bubbles yet.

Always test the water before you commit to going in.

Doing laps with Daddy in their matching hats.

Cooper hijacked the neighbor girl's chair, and didn't want to do anything but sit or stand on it.

Easter pics

Here are the pictures we managed to take while Cooper was still dressed up on Easter.

Walking!

Yes, she actually is walking now! Well, she walked one day, and now she won't do it again, but at least we know she can do it! Actually her new favorite way to pass time is to walk with this hippo back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. It's so cute to watch her, she is so funny and gets so excited, but it does get old turning the hippo around every couple seconds for her to cruise back the other way. Oh well, it's worth it. She's just so darn cute!

We love having Daddy home!!!

We are so glad to finally have Jess back home! He does fun things like put all of his parachute gear on his wifey to practice "JMPI"s. Cooper was, of course, very interested.

And he let Cooper help him unpack!

But best of all, he gave lots of snuggles to his little girl.

But seriously, I have much greater appreciation for single mothers now. It is A LOT of work to care for even one child twenty four hours a day, I can't imagine when we have a couple more and Jesse has to go out of town. He has been so sweet since he got home, he has been helping out so much with Cooper. It's amazing now to have someone say, "here, I'll do bedtime, why don't you go do something else!" I love my husband!

Pics from our Spokane trip

Cooper thought her auntie Mel is pretty hilarious

Good morning Gigi!

Her cheeks are pretty hard to resist...and apparently so is the camera to Baby O!

"Let me see that picture you just took of me, Poppa!"
